Shoulder And Tying (2,5 h Course, english)

A Biomechanic Journey  Into The Shoulder

In rope bondage, the shoulder joints are often stressed. The large range of motion of the shoulder complex provides many opportunities but also challenges.
In contrast to the hip joints, the shoulder joints are much more sensitive to tension and pressure. Muscles, tendons, ligaments, but also nerves, and blood vessels must allow a rotational movement of more than 180° and sometimes even carry the load of the upper body.

Led by a medical practitioner and physical therapist, this course provides an insight into the intricate anatomy of the joints of the shoulder. The focus is on biomechanics in different bondage positions i.e., the functional anatomy. Theoretical knowledge is then applied to bondage practice and demonstrated with examples.

Understanding the interaction of the various joints of the shoulder, foreseeing problems, and exploiting the possibilities is the goal of this course.
Specific instructions for tying are not part of the course.
